David Hume Kennerly, an American photographer, was born in 1947 in Roseburg, Oregon.
He was the fourth child of O.A. 'Tunney' Kennerly, a traveling salesman, and his wife Joanne Hume Kennerly. Kennerly became interested in photography at the age of 12, and by the time he was 15, he had his first photograph published in the school newspaper 'The Orange 'R'.
