Jodi: Do you want to tell us a little bit about the piece and your process with it?

Heather: Sure.

The piece is called Kassidy Chism and it’s a solo… I guess I’ll start with an easy way to talk about it, I’ll start with the title. I named the piece after a real person who, I think is thirteen now.

Part of the research for this piece [was that I] learned a dance by a ten-year-old girl and that girl is Kassidy Chism.
